Access the Captions Desktop and Web app
Sign Up
To sign up for Captions on your computer:- Open the browser of your choice
- Go to desktop.captions.ai
- Choose a login method to create your account
Sign In
To sign in to the Captions Desktop app, simply sign in using the same method you used to sign up. Doing so will ensure you restore your subscription. If you are signing in to a new device or second device, please know that all projects are locally stored and projects are not synced between devices. In other words, projects are only available on the device in which they were created.Log Out
To log out of the Captions Desktop app, click on “Profile” and then “Log out.” Before logging out of the Captions app, please know that all projects will be deleted as soon as you log outFrequently Asked Questions

There isn’t a Windows version of the Captions app available for downloading on your PC, but you can use the Captions Web app on your browser at desktop.captions.ai.

Although we don’t have a MacOS or PC app, you can create a shortcut on Mac or PC by creating a web app on your desktop:

The Captions Desktop apps are currently only available in English. We will be localizing the app into more languages soon.

Is Captions similar to CapCut?
Captions is similar to CapCut in that you can easily create, generate, and edit videos to be uploaded and shared to social media platforms. While there are differences, many customers find that Captions is a great alternative.
