How much does Captions cost?

To see the price of Captions, simply export a project and you’ll be able to see all plans and prices. The price of Captions will vary depending on the:

• Plan you choose: Pro vs Max
• Duration of your subscription: Monthly or Yearly
• How you pay: App Store, Play Store, or directly on our website via Stripe
• The country and currency you will pay with: To see the how much Captions costs, simply export a project, and you’ll see the price of Captions in your country and currency.

Do you offer a free version of Captions?

We do not offer a free or ad-supported version of Captions. If you are unsure if the app is right for you, you can create as many projects as you like without paying. You will only see the option to pay once you export your project. So, feel free to test out the app as much as you like before making a decision.

Do you offer discounts?

We offer a yearly and monthly subscription and the yearly subscription comes with a discount! We do not offer any additional discounts.

Plans

What is the difference between Captions Pro and Captions Max?

We currently offer two plans: Captions Pro & Captions Max. Captions Pro includes nearly all features in the app, including:

• Captions: Automatically add captions in same language or translated to another language.
• Dubbing: Automatically dub speakers into another language with voice clone.
• Camera & Teleprompter: Record your video in the app with or without the help of an on screen teleprompter.
• Script Generator: Insert a prompt and we’ll help you write a script for your video
• AI Shorts: Automatically identify and extract short-form clips from your long-form content
• Reddit to Reel: Paste a Reddit comment and we’ll automatically generate
• Editing: All features available in the editor, including Eye Contact, Zoom, Title, Media, Text, Music, Denoise, Censor, Voiceover, Sound Effects

Captions Max includes all of the above features, as well as:

• AI Creator: Write or paste a script, choose an avatar, and Captions will generate a video.
• AI Edit: Import your clip and we’ll automatically apply captions, zooms, transitions, sound effects, music, and b-roll.
• Priority Support: As a Captions Max customer, you’ll receive priority support from our customer support team which is available 24/7, right in the app.

Trials

Do you offer trials?

If you are on an iPhone or Android device, we offer all customers a one-time, 3 day trial. When you first open the app or try to export a project, you’ll see the option to start a trial. During that time, you can export as many projects as you like and you can cancel anytime. We do not currently offer trials on our Desktop app.

Do I need to be subscribed to create a project?

Regardless of what device you are using, you can create as many projects as you like without a subscription. However, when you try to export a project, you’ll see pricing options and won’t be able to export until you purchase a subscription.

How do I purchase a Captions subscription?

To purchase a subscription, simply export a project and you’ll see the option to purchase a subscription.

Cancel a subscription or trial

How do I cancel my subscription or trial?

You can cancel your subscription anytime. After you cancel your subscription, you can continue to use Captions until the end of your subscription, but you will not be charged again. Cancelation instructions vary depending on how you purchased your subscription.

Restore a subscription

Can I use my subscription on more than one device?

While you cannot share your subscription with anyone else, you can restore your subscription in certain cases, depending on how you purchased your subscription.

Purchase history & Invoices & VAT

How do I view my purchase history and view an invoice?

Regardless of how you purchased a subscription, an invoice will automatically be emailed to you. Depending on how you purchased your subscription, you can also request and download a copy.

How do I request a VAT invoice?

Depending on how you purchased a subscription, you may be able to receive an invoice with your VAT information.

Sharing & Teams

Can I share my subscription with someone else?

No, subscriptions are intended for single users and cannot be shared. We plan on offering more plans in the future that would allow you to create a team and purchase a subscription for multiple members on your team.

Are the videos I create available for commercial use?

Yes, all content you create in the app is available for commercial use.
