Overview

  • Captions is available on iOS, Android, and Desktop.
  • There are no limits on the number of projects you can create. However, in order to export your project, you must be subscribed to Captions Pro or Captions Max.
  • If you purchase a subscription on one device (Eg., iPhone), you can log in with the same method to restore your subscription on another device (Eg., Desktop).
  • Subscriptions are intended for single users and cannot be shared.

We currently offer two plans, Pro & Max.

Captions Pro includes nearly all features in the app, including:

Captions Max includes all of the above features, as well as:

  • AI Ads: Instantly generate top-performing video ads in just one click
  • AI Creator: The easiest way to generate talking videos, without being on camera
  • AI Edit: Import your clip and let AI handle the rest.
  • Priority Support: Send us a message directly in the app for support.

Pricing

The price of your subscription will vary depending on:

  • The plan you choose: Pro or Max
  • The duration of your subscription: Weekly, monthly, or yearly
  • How you pay: Stripe, App Store, or Play Store
  • Where you live: If you pay via the Apple App Store, the price will match the currency that your App Store supports.

Payment Methods

To pay with credit card, debit card, or Cash app, please sign up or sign in at desktop.captions.ai/subscription. If you require an invoice with a VAT number, you must purchase via Stripe. Note: We partner with Stripe to manage billing and subscriptions. To see pricing options, simply export a project to see all available options and plans.

Manage your subscription

Start a trial

Trials are not offered when purchasing via Stripe. However, you can create as many projects as you like and test all features. When you try to export, you’ll see the pricing options.

Purchase a subscription

Sign in to the Web App or the Mac App and export your project. You will see the option to choose a subscription plan.

Invoices, receipts, and VAT

When checking out, please check the option asking if you are purchasing for a business. You’ll have the option to add your company information and VAT number. After checking out, you’ll be able to download an invoice. Additionally, one will be emailed to you.

Restore your subscription

If you sign in on a new device, you will need to restore your subscription.

If you paid via Stripe, your subscription is connected to the method you used to sign up (Google, Apple, Microsoft, or phone number). To restore your subscription on a new device, simply log in with the same method you used to sign up.

Upgrade to Captions Max

Please navigate to your Profile and click “Manage subscription.” Sign in to your account and update your plan.

Fix your payment method

Your payment method may be declined if your card expires or if there are insufficient funds in your account. Please update your payment method as soon as possible to ensure you do not lose access to Captions.

Change your renewal preference

You can change your renewal preference at any time. Please note that your subscription won’t be canceled, but when the current period ends, you’ll renew at the new subscription duration.

Cancel a trial or subscription

Please navigate to your Profile and click “Manage subscription.” Sign in to your account and cancel your subscription.
