Plans
- We offer 3 paid subscription plans: Pro, Max, and Scale.
- Subscriptions can be purchased as either a monthly or yearly option and can be canceled anytime.
- All plans come as a recurring subscription, and we do not offer a free subscription plan.

Pricing
To see the price of Captions, simply generate or export a project and you will see all plans and pricing options. The price of Captions will vary depending on:
- The plan you choose: Pro, Max, or Scale
- The duration of your subscription: Monthly or Yearly
- How you pay: App Store, Play Store, or directly on our website via Stripe
- Your currency: Depending on which country you are in, the price will be adjusted to your currency or appear in $USD (US Dollars)
- If you sign up on an iPhone or Android device, we offer a one-time, 3-day trial of Captions Pro. That includes unlimited project creation, editing, and exporting of Pro features.
- We do not currently offer trials on our Desktop app, though you can create as many Pro projects as you like without exporting.
- Additionally, all customers receive 120 credits to test out Max & Scale features.
- Yearly subscriptions come with an automatic discount when compared with 12 months of the monthly pricing option.
- We do not offer any additional discounts, promotions, or sales.
To purchase a subscription, simply generate or export a project and you’ll see the option to choose a plan and subscribe.

Credits
Credits only apply to Captions Max & Scale plans and are only consumed when you use the following features:
- AI Creator: Video generation
- AI Edit: One-tap editing
- AI Lipdub: Translate video with voice clone and natural face and lip movement
As long as you are actively subscribed, all other features are included with unlimited project creation, editing, and exporting.
- Each project type consumes a different number of credits
- Before generating a project, you will see the number of credits that will be consumed for your project
- You can view your remaining credits in your profile

- When you first register, every customer receives 120 credits for free
- Captions Pro does not come with any credits
- Captions Max comes with 1200 credits per month
- Captions Scale comes with 3600 credits per month
Your monthly credits renew each month. So, you can either wait until your credits renew, upgrade to a higher subscription plan, or purchase one-time credits.
- If you are on Captions Max (1200 credits per month), you can upgrade to Captions Scale (3600 credits per month)
- If you are on Captions Scale, you can purchase one-time credits
- If you run out of credits, simply create a new project and if you do not have enough credits, you will see the option to upgrade your plan or purchase one-time credits.

Managing your subscription
Once you subscribe, it’s easy to manage your subscription.
Subscriptions can be restored on other devices. However, subscriptions are intended for individual customers and accounts cannot be shared. The instructions on restoring your subscription will vary depending on how you subscribed.
- If you purchased via the Apple App Store, your subscription is connected to your AppleID, not the method you use to sign up.
- As a reminder, your Apple ID is the account that you use to access all Apple services and make all of your devices work together seamlessly.
- You can see your Apple ID by tapping on the Settings app, and you’ll see your name on the top.
- You can only restore your subscription on devices that are also signed into the same Apple ID. Simply sign in and tap “Restore Subscription.”
- If you purchased via the Google Play Store, your subscription is connected to your Google account, not the method you use to sign up.
- As a reminder, your Google account is the account that you use to access Google services in one place and it is possible to sign in to more than one Google account on the Play Store.
- You can only restore your subscription on devices that are also signed into the same Google account.
- If you paid on our website via Stripe, your subscription is connected to the method you used to sign up (Google, Apple, Microsoft, or phone number).
- To restore your subscription on a new device, simply log in with the same method you used to sign up.
You can cancel your subscription anytime. After you cancel your subscription, you can continue to use Captions until the end of your subscription or trial period, but you will not be charged again. Cancelation instructions vary depending on how you purchased your subscription.

If you purchased directly on our website and would like to cancel your subscription, please follow these instructions:

- Enter the email address you used to checkout (If you need help remembering which email address you used, check your email inbox for an email from “captions.ai” or “Stripe”)
- Click on the sign in link in your email
- Click “Cancel Plan”
Refund requests vary depending on how you purchased your subscription.
If you purchased a subscription on the Apple App Store from your iPhone and would like to request a refund, please follow these instructions https://support.apple.com/en-us/118223. As your subscription was paid directly to Apple, we are unable to request a refund on your behalf.
If you purchased a subscription on the Google Play Store from your Android device and would like to request a refund, please follow these instructions https://support.google.com/googleplay/workflow/9813244. As your subscription was paid directly to Google, we are unable to request a refund on your behalf.

Regardless of how you purchased a subscription, an invoice will automatically be emailed to you. Depending on how you purchased your subscription, you can also request and download a copy.

To view an invoice of a subscription purchased via Stripe, please click here, sign in, and look at your “Invoice History.”
Depending on how you purchased a subscription, you may be able to receive an invoice with your VAT information.
If you purchased a subscription via the App Store, Apple does not offer a way to add a VAT number. You can cancel and request a refund if you like and purchase directly on our website via Stripe, where you can input your VAT information.
To request a VAT invoice for a subscription purchased via the Google Play Store, please follow these instructions.
When checking out on our website via Stripe, please check the option asking if you are purchasing for a business. You’ll have the option to add your company information and VAT number. After checking out, you’ll be able to download an invoice. Additionally, one will be emailed to you.
No, subscriptions are intended for single users and cannot be shared. We plan on offering more plans in the future that would allow you to create a team and purchase a subscription for multiple members on your team.
